The Danish Building and Property Agency, BYGST, is building a new Police Academy in West Denmark for the Danish National Police (UVC). IN SITU assists BYGST as art professional advisors in the completion of two art projects. The main art project, which will be integrated into the building, and a second project which will make use of user involvement.

As an educational institution for the contry's police force, the Police Academy has the responsibility to educate and shape the police officers and prepare them for their coming job. The Academy and its physical environment creates the conditions for the school to solve this task in the most optimum way. It is emphasized that the milieu expresses coherency and sturdiness simultaneously as the setting should encompass the dynamic and mutability, which characterizes the daily life and tasks of the police. It is this composite and dualistic framework the art projects must tap into. In 2018, a sketch competition for the building integrated art work was released. From 2020 UCV will start taking in students.
